Hydracrypt

HydraCrypt is a ransomware that runs on Microsoft Windows. It is a member of the CrypBoss family. HydraCrypt is relatively simple and looks like Hi Buddy! and UmbreCrypt. HydraCrypt is distributed through the Angler exploit kit, which is loaded on a remote server. Several compromised sites are known to spread HydraCrypt, among them Drivers-softprotect.eu, Vyetbr.tk and Harbourfrontcentre.com. Many HydraCrypt Ransomware infections are facilitated by Botime Trojan-Dropper, which may place HydraCrypt Ransomware executable in the System32 folder of the Windows directory.
