Kraken Cryptor

The ransomware adds random extensions to encrypted files and asks the victim to send an email to the threat's author to obtain the decryption key. Some variants of the malware are disguised as SuperAntiSpyware anti-malware application in order to deceive users. Kraken Cryptor was discovered in the summer of 2018 and continues to evolve with new variants being discovered regularly.
